For many years she was galloping happily and safely, little by little her path became difficult and confusing until suddenly it all became chaotic, her heart was galloping with pain and very confused.  Walking on this new path was desolate, confusing, and painful. She decided to make a stop and raised her gaze to the horizon where she visualized the different paths she could take. She put all her strength and hope into a new path that would bring her new challenges and adventures, her heart still aching she started her gallop, a sad gallop but with high hopes of galloping again with vigor and strength. For Taty with love.

I am the passing of the years, full of experiences, learning, failures, defeats and triumphs, changes, modifications. As Facundo Cabral said “I am not from here nor am I from there”, but I am, I exist and I continue to leave trails in the sea, footprints when walking and with paths to choose according to my learning and priorities in life, I still have a lot to learn, but now I walk with less ballast, with more ease and with more sagacity to choose between dilemmas, making mistakes again but this time learning faster from those mistakes and sharing my experiences with whoever wants to listen. I am who I am now, tomorrow I will be another.

We all have chains that bind us to the past and unconsciously we continue to drag them, but it is up to us to decide to break them and embark on a new path, overcoming the adversities of life, but free of burdens.

“EYES THE WINDOWS OF THE SOUL” The feelings of our souls are exposed through our eyes. Acrylic on canvas.

This work was a commission for a little girl's room, it was done with the interest of creating a magical emphasis to the environment of her room that is decorated with pink tones and gray walls. This painting represents a full moon night in a magical forest, where the fireflies dance around the unicorn, making this work give a dreamlike atmosphere to her room.

This horse is a commissioned painting: its owner wanted a painting that would highlight a corner of their house where the walls are light gray, they also wanted to represent their feelings as Cuban immigrants where that painting would enhance their Cuban pride and remind them of their roots in this land that they also love for giving them freedom and the opportunity for a happy and prosperous future for their family.
